  28. Domain Name Search (DNS) is a simple script designed to check the
  29. availability of domain names. It uses "HTTPJ" to lookup the InterNIC's
  30. WHOIS database and "GetMouseInput" to detect if you want more details.

  33. Installation:
  34.  
  35. o Extract the archive to RAM: with lha e.g.:
  36.   "1.RAM:>lha -a e DNS.lha"
  37. o If you haven't specified the option -a (preserve attributes) when
  38.   you decompressed DNS.lha then add the "script" flag to DNS e.g.:
  39.   "1.RAM:>protect +s DNS/DNS"
  40. o Extract the other 2 archives in DNS
  41. o Copy DNS/DNS to S: or AmiTCP:bin or wherever makes you happy.
  42. o Copy GetMouseInput and HTTPJ somewhere in your path or add an alias
  43.   in your user-startup such as "alias httpj NET:HTTPJ/httpj"
  44. o That's it, you're all set!

  47. Usage:

  49. o 'DNS'               by itself will show the correct syntax.
  50. o 'DNS ?'             will prompt you for the domain name.
  51. o 'DNS domain.com'    will lookup the domain on the InterNIC.
